    Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

    Emma is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She had previously completed a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies at Cape Breton University as well as a Disability Supports diploma at Nova Scotia Community College. She plans to register as a Counselling Therapist in Nova Scotia and a Psychotherapist in Ontario. 

    Emma is interested in providing mental health services to those struggling with their mental health in Nova Scotia. She works from an inclusive and culturally responsive mindset and welcomes all clients on their journey of mental wellness. Emma has experience working with youth and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.

    Emma works with Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Emma incorporates various modalities' interventions and strategies, such emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and humanistic theory, into her work with clients.  

    Emma can tailor the session to best fit the client's communication style and support them in a safe therapeutic environment. 

    Emma is currently a Counselling Therapist affiliate in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as well as a Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
