Social Service Worker, Psychotherapist & Counsellor

Joy has an undergrad in Psychology from Laurentian University and a Diploma in Social Service Work and provides services in-person, via phone, and video.

Joy has worked in a variety of roles, including; case management, mental health and addictions counselling, school counselling, crisis counselling, suicide intervention / prevention, and more. Joy enjoys working with individuals in all walks of life but has a strong passion for working with teens and young adults struggling with life adjustments and emotional challenges, as well as individuals coping with mental health and addictions concurrently.

Joy’s perspective is down-to-earth, client-centered, and takes a holistic approach. She is trained in DBT and Solution Focused Therapy,  among other modalities. Joy works collaboratively with clients to allow them to feel heard and help them come to a place where they have improved emotional well-being. She aims to provide an empathic and inclusive space for everyone. 

Joy is registered (RSSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
