    Practicum Student

    Jane is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is currently in the practicum phase of her Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy degree through Yorkville University. Previously, she attained a Bachelor in Sciences - Applied Human Nutrition (Distinction) degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and was a Registered Dietitian for over a decade. She is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces serving 14 years as an Army Logistics Officer. Jane is a certified mindfulness practitioner receiving her training from the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic. She left the military in 2014 where she started a private practice in nutrition and mindfulness. Jane is supervised by our owner and approved site-supervisor, Lisa Bowman, MSW, RSW, RRP, TITC-CT.

    As a practicum student Jane is in the early phases of developing her psychotherapy practice. She is looking to support individuals and couples from a holistic and client-centered lens. She will utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions but would like to focus her interventions in Humanistic and Solution-Focused Brief Therapies. She will also integrate elements of Mindfulness interventions into her work. Jane is looking to support individuals through multicultural considerations, providing diverse and equitable services to all her clients. As a psychotherapist in training, Jane is looking to hone her newly developed skills in a collaborative and supportive environment, while empowering her clients to make changes to sustain their mental wellbeing.

    Jane is registered (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
